Human Services Department to Hold Public Input Meetings on Long-Term Care Services
 
BISMARCK, N.D. - The N.D. Department of Human Services is holding public meetings on Tues., Jan. 14, 2014, in Bismarck, and on Wed., Jan. 15, 2014, in Fargo to gather public input on long-term care services in North Dakota.  The department is seeking comments about
in-home care services, community-based long-term care services, basic care services, and nursing facility services, and invites individuals using services, their family members, advocates, providers, and others to share their observations.
 
Meetings will be held from 1 to 3 p.m., Central Time at these locations:
·         Bismarck – State Capitol, 600 E. Boulevard Ave., Judicial Wing, Pioneer Room
·         Fargo – Best Western Kelly Inn and Suites, 1767 S. 44th Street
 
The department expends millions of dollars annually on long-term care services and has hired Myers and Stauffer, a certified public accounting firm, to help conduct a study of long-term care services in North Dakota.  The consultants will use stakeholder comments in developing a formal report that will include recommendations about long-term care services.
