North Dakota Department of Human Services Aging Services Division is seeking public comments on a five-year renewal of its Medicaid 1915(c) Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS)
Medicaid waiver and on an amendment to its Medicaid 1915(c) Technology
Dependent Medicaid waiver.
The HCBS Medicaid waiver serves older adults and
people with physical disabilities who
are 18 years of age and older. The
Technology Dependent Medicaid waiver provides service options for individual 18
years of age and older who are ventilator-dependent for a minimum of 20 hours
per day. Both waivers provide services
and supports to people in their own homes and communities and help to delay or
divert institutional care.
proposed waivers will change oversight
authority from the department’s Medical Services Division to the Aging Services
Division to better align services and supports that are available to older
adults and individuals with physical disabilities.
